Achieving Success By Fulfilling Our Life Purpose
By Priya Deelchand

We all want to be happy and successful in life and yet very few people can claim to be as happy and as successful as they always wished to be. At some point in our life when we feel unfulfilled, many of us ask ourselves questions like, “Why am I here for?” “What do I really want to do in my life?” “Where am I going?” As long as we do not find the answers to these questions, we will continue to feel unfulfilled. The only way to achieve lasting happiness and success is by living a life of purpose. Most of the peak performers in life are those who spend most of their time thinking about who they are and why they are here for and then continuously assessing their progress in light of who they are and what their true calling is.

We are all unique and were put on this earth to do something extraordinary. There has never been anyone in the entire universe just like us. Each one of us has outstanding abilities, skills, talents and gifts that make us different from all other people who have ever lived. We have the capacity within us to accomplish more than we ever imagined possible. Each one of us is born with a unique life purpose and our mission is to discover the key role we are meant to fill and then to throw our whole heart into doing it exceptionally well. Plato once said, “There is a place that you are to fill and no one else can fill, something you are to do, which no one else can do.” We can achieve greater success and happiness and have deeper fulfillment by finding and living our true purpose.

Most people today do not know their purpose and they wander aimlessly and accomplish very little in life. They respond to circumstances, situations and events, to parents and responsibilities, and never take the time to sit down and think about what it is that they really want for themselves. They spend their entire life doing things that they do not enjoy and they work only to earn a living and to pay their bills at the end of the month. As Thoreau rightly said “The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation,” These people achieve only temporary success and happiness because they set and achieve only short-term goals. Once these goals are achieved, they still feel that something is missing in their lives and they feel unfulfilled. Most high achievers in life think and act differently. They believe in a mission which goes far beyond a simple goal. These people are committed to follow their purpose and do only those things that they enjoy most and which give meaning to their lives.

In order to find our true calling, we need to understand ourselves better and know exactly what we enjoy doing the most in life. We can ask ourselves questions like:

– What activities are most important to us?

– What do we have the most fun doing?

– What do we do where we lose track of time?

– What would we do if we had no limitations?

– What would we do if we knew we could not fail?

– What are our natural talents and aptitudes?

– What are the things we do best in life?

– What would we do for free for the rest of our life if we had all the money we needed?

– What do others look to us for?

– What do the people closest to us say our passions are?

We must dare to take risks and go against the norm if we really want to discover and fulfill our life purpose. We must be willing to do what our hearts desire and follow our bliss rather than follow what other people want us to do. Following our heart rather than following the crowd gives us much more chance to find happiness and fulfillment, but it takes courage and guts. Many people are afraid of being different, of not being accepted by those around them, and of standing out rather than blending in. We must always listen to the wise words of Friedrich Nietzsche who once said, “The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.

When we live our life on purpose, we become so passionate with what we are doing and become so involved in our task that we just lose track of time. For us, work becomes play because we enjoy every moment and spend our time doing exactly what we love and what we were meant to do. Confucius was right when he said “Find a job you love and you’ll never work a day in your life.”

Furthermore, when we live our purpose, things will just seem to fall into place. The people, opportunities and resources we need come to us easily and effortlessly. Joseph Campbell once said “If you follow your bliss you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while, waiting for you, and the life that you ought to be living is the one you are living. When you can see that, you begin to meet people who are in your field of bliss, and they open doors to you. I say, follow your bliss and don’t be afraid, and doors will open where you didn’t know they were going to be.” The whole world will also benefit because when we are in alignment with our true calling, all our actions will automatically serve others and we will be making a real difference in the lives of others by giving real value to them far beyond what we could have imagined.

A purpose driven life is a life that we must all seek to live. Identifying and honoring our purpose is the key to success and happiness in life. We are all capable of become everything we want to become and living a life of purpose and fulfilling our highest natural potential is the greatest and most precious gift we can give to ourselves and to the world. Deepak Chopra was right when he said “Everyone has a purpose in life… a unique gift or special talent to give to others. And when we blend this unique talent with service to others, we experience the ecstasy and exultation of our own spirit, which is the ultimate goal of all goals.”

Persistence – Your Key to Success
By Priya Deelchand

Do you really want to succeed in life? Is there a goal that you would like to achieve? Do you want to be happier, healthier or richer? One of the most important ingredients to achieve anything great in your life is persistence. Persistence has the power to transform desires into reality. John D. Rockefeller once said “I do not think there is any other quality so essential to success of any kind as the quality of perseverance. It overcomes almost everything, even nature.”

Persistence separates extraordinary people from ordinary ones. You too can succeed and achieve great things in your life if you cultivate the habit of persisting. All things are possible if you persist. People who persevere, never accept defeat. They just keep moving forward in the direction of their goals.

One of the main reasons why goals remain unachieved and why most people are not successful is a lack of persistence. Initially you are very excited and highly motivated when you make the decision to achieve your new goal and you are determined to succeed. However once an obstacle, large or small, appears you most often allow that obstacle to discourage you from continuing to do what it takes to achieve your goal and succeed.

People who achieved excellence have encountered many obstacles while climbing the ladder to success. Such obstacles would have discouraged most ordinary people a long time back. These extraordinary people, however, refused to quit. They persisted until they succeeded. Thomas Edison is a very good example of the power of perseverance. When he was asked how he managed to persist in the face of continued failure, he answered, “I did not fail. I have just found 10,000 ways not to invent the light bulb.” Most people fail simply because they gave up too soon. If they had persisted, success would have been theirs.

You need to persist regardless of the obstacles you come across. You must keep telling yourself that as long as you keep trying, as long as you keep putting effort into doing what you need to do to achieve what you strongly desire, you will succeed. Always remember the wise words of Og Mandino who once said “I will persist until I succeed. Always will I take another step. If that is of no avail I will take another, and yet another. In truth, one step at a time is not too difficult…. I know that small attempts, repeated, will complete any undertaking.”

If you persist, you will succeed over the person who has more money, more education or even more talents than you have. Calvin Coolidge was right when he said “Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing in the world is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.”

Persistence has incredible power. Take constant action in the direction of your goals and trust that the best outcome will always materialize. Never quit. Do not stop singing if you are not accepted at an audition, do not give up on that job you always wanted, do not stop striving to be the person you always wanted to be, do not give up your big dreams. Always remember that all great people started as ordinary people but had a dream and persisted and with a positive mental attitude achieved extraordinary success. If they persisted and succeeded, you can too! So begin to persist now and remember what Winston Churchill said “Never, never, never give up!”

Achieve Success by Overcoming Your Self-Limiting Beliefs!
By Priya Deelchand

Believing in yourself is the most important quality that you can develop in order to accomplish anything that you truly desire in every area of your life and become more successful. You all have unlimited potential and each one of you have the capacity to accomplish great things and be successful in life. However, most of you achieve far less than what you are capable of because of your self-doubts and self-limiting beliefs.

Self-limiting beliefs are those things you believe about yourself that place boundaries on your aptitudes and skills. These beliefs may be conscious or unconscious. Examples of self-limiting beliefs are when you think that you are not good enough to do certain things, you are not intelligent enough to succeed in your exams, you are not as good as your friends or you do not deserve the good things in life. Most of these beliefs are not true, but they make you play small in life and prevent you from expressing the creative genius that resides within you.

Jamie Paolinetti rightly said “Limitations live only in our minds. But if we use our imaginations, our possibilities become limitless.” You can accomplish absolutely anything that you want in life if you make up your mind to. In fact, absolutely nothing is impossible and there are no limits to what you can be, do or have. What is really important is what you believe about yourself and whatever you believe with feeling becomes your reality. Tony Robbins once pointed out, “What we can or cannot do, what we consider possible or impossible, is rarely a function of our true capability. It is more likely a function of our beliefs about who we are.”

The good news is that you can eliminate your self-limiting beliefs by becoming aware of them, identifying them and challenging them by replacing them with more positive beliefs. You must intentionally reject any thoughts that are limiting you in any way and you must always remember that there is nothing you cannot be, do or have. There is no one who is better or more capable than you are. We are all born with unlimited potentials, unique talents and abilities and we all deserve the very best in life. Always follow the wise advice of Thomas Carlyle “Let each become all that he was created capable of being.”

Nothing in the world can stop you from becoming the great and successful person that you want to become as long as you are willing to persist long enough until you succeed. As Helen Keller said, we can do anything we want as long as we stick to it long enough. Once you are clear about the person you want to become you must develop new beliefs to become that person and you have to discipline yourself to act as if you were already that person. You will have to adopt new attitudes and qualities to become the successful person you want to become.

There are no limitations on your potential except for those that you believe you have. People who are successful have the firm belief and conviction that they can achieve anything that they truly desire. You too are a highly capable person and you equally deserve to be successful. From now on, see yourself as the best and most successful person you can be and do not accept any boundaries on your potential. Once you start believing in yourself and act in accordance with your new beliefs, you will open doors to unlimited possibilities and your future will be brighter than you ever imagined. As Mary Kay Ash said, “Do not limit yourself. Many people limit themselves to what they think they can do. You can go as far as your mind lets you. What you believe, remember, you can achieve.”

Think Your Way To Success With Positive Affirmations

Author: Priya Deelchand

Affirmations are statements that you think or say to yourself or others and they are based on your beliefs. These affirmations can be either positive or negative and have the ability to greatly influence your life and create your reality. In fact, affirmation is something that you are doing all the time. Every thought you think and every word you say is an affirmation. All of your inner dialogues are affirmations. You are continually affirming subconsciously with your words and thoughts and this flow of affirmations is creating your life experience in every moment.

You can achieve the success you desire by programming your mind with positive affirmations. In fact, most of the successful people in the world are not much different from you. The main difference between a successful person and an unsuccessful one is that most successful people have a success mindset.  Their inner dialogue is one of success and accomplishment and they always focus on the positive rather than on the negative.

You can use positive affirmations to achieve the success you desire and through the regular use of this powerful technique, you will begin to see wonderful changes in your life you never imagined possible. With positive affirmations, you can conquer your limiting beliefs and negative thoughts and make success a reality for you. Ralph Marston once said, “There is a thought in your mind right now. The longer you hold on to it, the more you dwell upon it, the more life you give to that thought. Give it enough life, and it will become real. So make sure the thought is indeed a great one.”

In order to achieve success, it is very important for you to develop a conscious and focused affirmation process. You must become aware of exactly what you are affirming through your thoughts and consciously and purposefully focus those affirmations on positive and empowering statements. These positive affirmations will reprogram your subconscious mind and allow you to become more and more successful. By developing the habit of using positive affirmations regularly and consistently your subconscious will adapt to the new information it is being provided with. As Claude M. Bristol rightly said “It’s the repetition of affirmations that leads to belief. And once that belief becomes a deep conviction, things begin to happen.”

For your affirmations to be effective, it is important that you create your own affirmations based on your specific conditions and circumstances. It is very important to remember that your affirmations are only going to be efficient if you can feel what you are affirming. It is the emotions that your affirmations create that will attract the success that you desire to you. The most effective positive affirmations are phrases that are in alignment with you, empower you and allow you to feel a shift in your emotions as you repeat them.

You can repeat the following affirmations to become more successful or you can create your own affirmations.

1.         I am very successful now.

2.         Success and achievement are natural outcomes for me.

3.         I attract success and prosperity with all of my ideas.

4.         Success comes very easily and effortlessly to me.

5.         Everything I do turns into success.

6.         My success is contagious, other people like it, seek it and respect it.

7.         All of my thoughts and ideas lead me straight to success.

8.         Prosperity and success is my natural state of mind.

9.         I am a success magnet.

10.      I am the example of success and triumph.

You can all become as successful as you desire by using positive affirmations regularly and consistently. Remember that success is a state of mind and if you want success, start thinking of yourself as a success. As John Addison rightly said, “You’ve got to win in your mind before you win in your life.”

My dearest friends,

Hope you are all doing great!

Here is an article I would like to share you today. The source is unknown.

Plato said that work should be play. Some airline employees are taking him seriously. After landing, one flight attendant announced, “Thank you for flying Delta Business Express. We hope you enjoyed giving us the business as much as we enjoyed taking you for a ride.” (I like the honest approach.)

As a plane touched down and was slowing to a stop in Washington, a lone voice came over the loudspeaker: “Whoa, big fella. WHOA!” (Who says you can’t have fun with your job?)

One pilot made this weather announcement: “Weather at our destination is 50 degrees with some broken clouds, but they’ll try to have them fixed before we arrive.”

“As you exit the plane,” a flight attendant said, “please make sure to gather all of your belongings. Anything left behind will be distributed evenly among the flight attendants. Please do not leave
children or spouses.”

And passengers reported that they heard this from the crew just as they began to exit: “Last one off the plane must clean it.”

To enjoy your work more, I think it helps to put some play in what you do. And if you don’t like your work, can you find something to do you enjoy more?

Authors Doug Hall and David Wecker tell the story of Ken Davis, a man who found a simple way to enjoy his work (Making the Courage Connection; Fireside Books, 1997). Ken just couldn’t find his occupational niche. He worked at a variety of jobs and disliked them all. While Ken was working as a door salesman, he noticed that at least half of his customers had malfunctioning doorbells. And suddenly, Ken’s life career became clear. He opened his own doorbell repair service.

Ken’s wife laughed when she first heard his idea. When she realized he was serious, she cried. Whoever heard of making a living repairing doorbells? But Ken is making a comfortable living at his unique job, and he’s happier than he’s ever been. Ken didn’t enjoy what he was doing, so he is now doing what he enjoys.

“The biggest mistake that you can make is to believe that you are working for somebody else,” Earl Nightingale asserts. “Job security is gone. The driving force of a career must come from the individual. Remember, jobs are owned by the company; you own your career!”

It’s true that, no matter where you work, you actually work for yourself. After all, it’s your life. And with a little creativity and imagination, maybe your work can seem less like drudgery and more like play. Wouldn’t you really rather have it that way?

Have an excellent day and enjoy what you do!!!!

Much love,
Priya:))
